And For 2009, I Will…

I have never really made new-year’s resolutions before. Except for this past year (2008), I told myself that it is really time that I start consolidating all of my many year’s work in AI. And I am very glad to say I did just that, with my Farve ‘Lorena’ software, which is really the progress Ihad hoped for – it is amazing software!

I have three big resolutions for 2009. I plan to finish a production-quality version of my Farve software and release it. I also want to get my romany cream (that’s the pet name of my girlfriend, Lorena:) from Romania to come to visit me. Please note to my employers, I need a raise to make this happen ;) Finally, I want to write a book about programming C# 2008.

Just My Luck

Hi readers,

Yesterday evening, my company had its year-end function. I was going – hoping to enjoy looking at all the people, getting to know everyone a bit better. I love just watching people!  You learn alot of someone by just watching him/her.  But yesterday afternoon I was working overtime, and around 14:30 I started feeling a bit ill. So I decided to go home and rest a bit, so that I would be better when the time came to go to the year-end venue. But I did not get better. And so I did not attend, but stayed in bed. This morning, I felt REALLY sick. The thought that I might die, did cross my mind :-)  But luckily I am better now.

Well, I am at work right now again, on a Sunday. I am here because I left early yesterday, and I have tasks to complete.  When I came in, I changed my MSN status to  ’Sick yet at work. Stupid or dedicated? Dedicated.’  A colleague of mine who is also working overtime (Johan van Rensburg) just told me that Iam at work on a Sunday, but I missed my reward. What reward? Apparently I won the company reward for most promising staff member!

That’sa nice way for a company to show their appreciation. So thank you everyone at UCSSM who had the wisdom to recognise my utter magnificence!  (I AM KIDDING DAMMIT!!!!). No really, thank you very much for the award, I appreciate it.

It is just my luck that I could not have been there. Sorry to everyone. Next time? It’s a deal.
